HISTORY

Smilozone Cares is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2020 with a mission to repurpose and recycle solid waste. Since then, we have been working on several projects that aim to create a more sustainable future for our country.

Save Our Reefs

Our first major planned project was a Coral Reef Restoration project. We noticed that many coral reefs around the world were dying due to pollution and other environmental factors, so we decided to take action. We came up with the idea of using crushed glass to build sculptures that would serve as artificial coral reefs. These sculptures would then be submerged in the sea, where they provide a habitat for marine life and help to restore damaged reefs.

Waste to Fertilizer

Our second project will be focused on creating fertilizer from green and organic garbage. We will collect waste from our partners and use it to compost and create organic fertilizer. This project will help to reduce waste and provided a sustainable source of fertilizer for agriculture.

Clear Conscience

Our third project which we are currently embarking on is an expansion of our glass recycling project into a country wide initiative to get our communities to send us their glass for recycling. Our glass recycling campaign’s goal is to rid our landfills of glass and to reuse that glass for different projects, including recycling into new bottles.

At Smilozone Cares, we are committed to making a difference in the world. Through our projects, we hope to inspire others to join us in creating a more sustainable future.
